Dates to remember
Your guide to graduating
Step Ensure you are eligible to graduate
In your final semester contact your Student Services Office to ensure all course requirements are met and necessary paperwork complete (deadline 15 June for Semester 1 / 15 November for Semester 2).
Please note: All graduates must also register to attend a ceremony, receive your award certificate or change your personal details.
Step Update contact details and clear sanctions
Update contact details and check for outstanding fees or fines in eStudent via OASIS. You must clear all sanctions to be eligible to graduate. To do this, log into OASIS, click eStudent in the my studies tab. Please check that your name is correct as per your full legal name.
Step Receive graduation invitation
Graduation Invitations are only sent out twice per year (approx. July and December). The Graduation Invitation Official Communication will be sent to your Official Communication Channel (OCC) in OASIS. Please immediately contact the Graduation Office if you do not receive your Graduation Invitation by the published date.
Please note: Graduation Invitations will NOT be sent via the post or to personal email accounts.
Step Register to receive your certificate
You must register by the deadline date to attend a graduation ceremony, have your award certificate mailed out or collect your award certificate. Follow the instructions in your Graduation Invitation to complete your online registration via the graduations channel in your my studies tab. A Registration Confirmation will be sent to your OASIS OCC once registration is complete.
Please note: if you fail to register by the deadline date you will not be able to attend a ceremony or receive your certificate by mail or collect.
Step Order your regalia
After you have completed your online registration you will be re-directed to order your regalia online.
Step Order guest tickets
A limited number of guest tickets are available for each ceremony. Information on whether you are required to pre-order guest tickets will be clearly stated in your Graduation Invitation Official Communication.
Additional guest tickets may also be available for purchase after the registration period closed - sale dates and ticket costs will be advertised in your Registration Confirmation Official Communication.
Step Collect tickets and regalia if attending ceremony
Collection information (including date, times, and location) will be included in your Registration Confirmation OC.
Step Receive your award certificate
If you are attending your ceremony you will receive your graduation documents (Award certificate, Full Academic Transcript* and Graduation Statement*) at the ceremony.
* Perth ceremonies only
If you are not attending a ceremony you will receive your graduation documents by mail or collect from the Graduations Office from end of March (Semester 2 graduates) and end of October (Semester 1 graduates).
Don’t forget to:
- Order your Graduation photos, to make your memories last forever!
- Complete the Australian Graduate Destination Survey. Check your OASIS account for eligibility details - each graduate that completes the survey receives a free gift!
- Keep in contact with Curtin Alumni - as a graduate, you are now a life-long member of Curtin Alumni.
Don't forget - as a Curtin graduate you now have life-time OASIS access, so you will be able to continue checking your account and Official Communications.
