Pre Ceremony information


Your graduation tickets and regalia can be collected the day of your ceremony from the from the WMC Conference Centre.

The time of ticket and regalia collection will be confirmed in your Registration Confirmation Official Communication (OC), sent to your OC channel in OASIS.

To collect your tickets and regalia you must present photo identification including your Curtin student ID card, drivers licence or Passport. If you cannot collect your tickets and regalia and require someone to collect on your behalf please ensure they bring a Disclosure of Information Proxy Form and photo identification. Tickets and regalia will not be issued without authorisation from the graduate.

Studio photography is available during tickets and regalia collection and before and after the graduation ceremony.

A professional photograph will be taken of each graduate as they cross the stage. The photos are available from the Phillips and Father website after the ceremonies.

Certificate framing is available after your ceremony. Frames can be ordered and pre-paid prior to your ceremony to speed the framing process.

Curtin memorabilia will be available to purchase during ticket and regalia collection times. Memorabilia includes teddy bears dressed in your own regalia and faculty colour, mugs and key rings.

Ceremony Day information


Please ensure you and your guests arrive at the venue at least one hour prior to the start of the ceremony.

Your ceremony start time will be included in your Registration Confirmation OC. You can also check the ceremony dates and locations page for all ceremony start times.

The ceremony will commence with the Welcome Address once all guests, graduates and staff are seated. The Occasional Address is delivered then graduates are presented with their awards, concluding with the Charge to Graduates by the Vice-Chancellor and the closing address.

Graduates are escorted on to the stage one row at a time and are presented to the Chancellor to receive their award certificate. A photo is taken of each graduate as they receive their award certificate from the Chancellor.

Graduates must sit in their allocated seat number at the front of the venue. Guest seating is not allocated, therefore guests are welcome to sit anywhere in the guest seating area. Guests must have their tickets on them at all times, otherwise they will not be permitted entrance into the venue.

Ceremonies usually go for approximately one hour. Graduates and guests are asked not to leave the venue until the conclusion of the ceremony.

Refreshments are served in the WMC Conference Centre foyer immediately after the ceremony.

Hired regalia must be returned after your ceremony concludes - a collection point will be available at the ceremony venue before the start of the WASM dinner. Failure to return your regalia after your ceremony will result in a late fee charge.
